The Cascade Origin Story
Why did we start Cascade Webworks?
Honestly, we were just tired of running into bad websites. The kinds where we’d try to check a restaurant’s hours, only to show up and find the entire complex was gone (yes, that really happened!). Or we’d want to hire a contractor but couldn’t find a phone number (let alone a website with proper contact info) anywhere. And don’t even get us started on broken appointment forms or outdated service info.
The more we ran into these issues, the more we realized something: most of these businesses weren’t lazy or careless—they just didn’t have someone to help, someone like us. We realized we could put our years of marketing, design, and tech skills to work building websites and managing online presence in a way that actually supported these businesses and the customers they served. We could do something we loved and free up these business owners to do the same.
Meet the Team
Doug Stuart
Doug brings over a decade of experience in media production, digital marketing, and web design. As the former CEO and current Content Director of a non-profit, Doug has built a reputation for producing impactful content that bridges ideas with engaging storytelling. He also owns Doug Stuart Film & Media Production, where he creates high-quality video content for businesses and nonprofits.
Outside of work, you can find him enjoying the outdoors with his family, capturing stunning moments with his camera, or diving into a good book.
Colby Weinhofer
Colby spent 15 years doing fundraising and IT support for various non-profits. He brings a deep understanding of technology to every project. He also runs YP Tech Tutor, a service dedicated to helping people in Lancaster County better understand and use technology.
A lover of sushi (and any Asian food, for that matter) Colby spent 10 years living in Japan. He is also an avid outdoor enthusiast and holds an advanced leader certification from Scouting America (formerly BSA).
